From a small-town nail tech to Raleigh's bridge between beauty and podiatry.

2012 · Albemarle, NC

It starts with a license — and a leap

Monica becomes a licensed nail technician and immediately launches her first business, MoniMakingManicures, in her hometown.

2015 · Raleigh, NC

The medical foundation

After moving to Raleigh, Monica spends over four years working in a podiatrist's office — where precision foot care becomes second nature.

2020

Never gave up

As a single mother of three, Monica steps away to put her kids first — then the world shuts down. On June 15, 2020, she relaunches MoniMakingManicures on her own terms.

2021–2022

The heart wants to expand

Monica enrolls in an esthetics academy and in December 2022 becomes a NC certified esthetician. With artistry, nails, and medical-grade skin care finally under one roof, MoniMakingManicures becomes Monica Made.

Everything clients ask most often — the medi pedi, Footlogix, payment, shipping and booking.

What is a medi pedi?

A medi pedi is a medical-grade pedicure focused on the health of your feet. It includes detailed work on calluses and dry skin and finishes with professional Footlogix Pediceutical products, and Footlogix soakless technology lets us use less water than a traditional footbath soak. It's a meticulous, spa-quality alternative to a standard salon pedicure.

How is it different from a regular pedicure?

Two differences. The focus is on the condition of your skin and nails rather than on polish, and Footlogix soakless technology means we use less water than a traditional footbath pedicure. Polish is still available — it just isn't the point of the appointment.

What is Footlogix?

Footlogix is the world's first and only Pediceutical® foot care line, built on Dermal Infusion Technology®. The formulas are mousses rather than creams, so they absorb instead of sitting greasy on the skin — you can treat your feet and put your shoes right back on. Monica Made is an authorized Footlogix retailer.

Is a medi pedi safe if I have diabetes?

Footlogix formulations are made for delicate and compromised skin. If you're managing diabetes or any medical foot condition, please check with your physician about what's appropriate for you, and we'll work with whatever guidance they give.

Can I use my FSA or HSA?

Yes. FSA and HSA debit cards are accepted at checkout and in studio, and we provide itemized receipts for reimbursement. Eligibility depends on your individual plan.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Afterpay is accepted, so you can buy now and pay later. We also accept cash, credit and debit.

Do you ship products?

Yes. The full Footlogix line ships anywhere in the United States, with free shipping on orders over $75.

What areas do you serve?

The studio is in North Raleigh on Falls of Neuse Rd, and clients come from across the Research Triangle — Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Wake Forest, Garner, Knightdale and Pittsboro. Products ship nationwide.

What are your hours?

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM. Closed Thursday and Sunday.

How do I book an appointment?

Do you offer memberships?

Yes. Four tiers from $25 to $100 per month. Every tier includes a retail discount and at least one free service each year. Higher tiers add priority booking and locked-in pricing.
